About

Hey There! I’m Alana Barner, and I am the owner/operator of Manada Tree Creations

I am a stay at home mom with two wonderful and crazy young children, and a big goofy pit mix . I love hiking around local parts of the Appalachian Mountains with my family, snuggling down with a good book or spending some quality time in my gardens.

I have always had a passion for anything creative. As a child, I was always coloring, painting, and even taught myself to hand sew! I loved making new barbie clothes with scrap fabric and old clothes. In high school I tried pottery, and continued to learn about sewing.

I started Manada Tree Creations making and selling headbands when my daughter was born as a way to earn some extra income while being a stay at home mom. As I have continued to create more projects for myself and children (anything from sewing clothes and cloth diapers to paintings or beauty projects ), I would be asked questions about how to make different things. I loved teaching others how to create various projects, but it was upsetting to hear others claim how they were “not crafty”. This  inspired me to branch out with In Home Craft Parties. I want to share how being creative is inside all of us. It’s so easy to be overwhelmed by all the pinterest projects and Youtube videos, but with these parties, I can teach small groups how to make specific crafts for themselves, and in the comfort of their own home.

My goal, is to spread the joy of creating something with your own hands, with others. Hopefully I will give others the confidence to believe in their own creative abilities.
